Hey guys, so I'm looking at getting into sim racing, and for that I'm going to need an actual desktop, as my laptop won't nearly cut it.

The specific game I'm getting is Assetto Corsa, here are the system requirements: http://www.assettocorsa.net/hw-sw-requirements/

Basically my question is how much am I going to need to spend on a computer to be able to run this on max settings. I found this computer on eBay, (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/171310718444?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649), is this good enough?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

I believe the video card on that PC is too weak to play that game, let alone max it. Sorry. :(

What's your budget?

To max out Assetto Corsa, you'd probably need to spend $1000+

I think GTX 780 TI is the sort of top of the line average consumer graphics card, since others can run like $2000+, though the 780 is like 750-800 on it's own.

"I'm running an i7 4770K and GTX770 - 2580x1080 res (I have a 29" widescreen monitor). Same settings as you I'm comfortably over 100 fps - high of 116 and low of 80. GTX780 should add another 10 fps or so for you. "

GTX770 is like less than 400$ on Newegg. You don't need a top of the line card, and graphics cards are due to improve soon if I'm not mistaken, so getting a 780 TI would be a mistake.

You can build something with like an i5 or something and a GTX 770 for under 1k I'm sure. I believe this rig here will get you like 60 FPS in Assetto Corsa, and you can always find places to upgrade. Those buying guides are solid and avoid bottlenecking. Check them out.
