@LegionOfDoom91 that's pretty huge news about CBS losing the SEC - it's unexpected, no? I wonder what they can pick up to put in its place. That's their entire fall lineup on Saturdays gone.

CBS still has it up until 2023. So it won’t be in effect for a while.

But yeah it’s pretty shocking they left the table. I don’t know if CBS is done with CFB or they think they could get a better deal with another conference. Since there should be fallout with ESPN/ABC will be adding that marquee weekly SEC game to the schedule.

CBS still has the NFL, NCAAB/March Madness, PGA, etc. so it’s not like this was their only big ticket sports program.

Disney apparently offered up close to $300M per year for the rights. It’s currently at $55M per year from CBS’ end.

Edit: Apparently there could be a situation where the buyer could buyout CBS’ remaining contract & expedite the change in networks.
