Sure looks like the Blues prospects are doing quite well this year. Thanks for all the time you put into this, OC.

What he said :D

Seems Parise is doing quite well and catching up to Bochenski and the leaders in points per game.

One guy we don't hear much about: The McDonald kid from the Oilers (Colin, I think?)

Wasn't he supposed to be some sort of gem according to some? Has anybody seen him? How is he playing?

Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen him for myself yet but I've heard that he has picked up his game recently after being promoted to his teams first line (he had previously been on either the third or fourth line I believe).

Right cagney, he was moved up to Friars first line to play along side Zingoni and Chaput.

I've seen McDonald play in several games already this season. What impressed me most about him is his play around the net and his "reckless abandon" style of play. He's the guy whose gonna be the one to score those "garbage" goals, and while I like his style of play, he could be a bit more "disciplined" about not taking those (occasional) unnecessary penalties.

Oilers Chick, you rock...

Thanks for all the time you've put into this all year.

I'm curious to know your impression of Troy Riddle, if you have one. I've always thought of him as a potential Draper-type for the Blues, a third-line grinder who can score.

I'd hope Riddle has more skill, and less gap-toothed cocky attitude, than Draper, however... :p

Would you, or any other Minnesota watcher, concur with that assessment?

Thanks,

PrussianBlue

pretty good assessment. He is small, but fast as can be. He won't ever be a top line scorer. Should be solid 3rd or 4th liner. And as far as sttitude goes he is a total character guy. Obviously that can change, but always seemed to work hard and give everything to the Gophers, we will miss him!
