Exciting game, worthy of BC/BU rivalry. Props to the Terriers who got a late start on the season yet have been competitive. Return match tonight at Walter Brown.

Terriers split Home-on-home with B.C., 3-1. Goal by Luke Tuch for B.U., the brother of Alex Tuch of VGK. Alex, oddly enough, played his college hockey at B.C.

Unranked all the way to #5?!?! That's loony.
They weren't unranked. Wisconsin was at #11 and they absolutely SMOKED Minnesota (who WAS #2) this weekend, 4-1 and 8-1 at Minnesota.

This Badger team is LOADED offensively. They finally got their team back together after the WJC and they are going to make some waves the rest of this season.

They've got a big weekend matchup coming up against Michigan.

That makes a lot more sense. The tweet made it sound like they were unranked prior to the weekend.

There is a blue blood resurgence happening this year. The NCAA hasn't announced a tournament format yet but it's looking like the following teams are all in the thick of it:

BC
BU
North Dakota
Minnesota
Michigan
Wisconsin
Duluth

That hasn't always been the case in recent years.

Three of the top five ranked teams call Minnesota home. Pretty impressive.

It's helping them immensely that they don't play each other this year (exception is SCSU and Duluth). BC, BU, PC, NU, UMass, UConn, etc get to beat each other up every week which doesn't help poll bias.

You could make that argument for Minnesota St.

But the rest of those schools, including Wisconsin and Michigan, have played schedules as difficult, if not MORE difficult, than any of the Hockey East schools.
