Congrats To RIT, After a two Shutout Sweep of Canisius this weekend, the Tigers Clinched their 4th Atlantic Title in Five years.....Which means absolutely nothing in terms of Bids. But Bragging rights. Tough opponents to come though with

You know what channel it's going to be on locally? I have a game tonight at 7:30 but I want to catch what I can of it.

Unfortunately, it's not on any other outlet. 3 games in 3 different venues in 6 nights between these two teams. BC should be the unanimous #1 team in the country by the time the new polls come out and the puck is dropped. Go Eagles!

BC could blow NU out in the other 2 games for all I care, they're not going anywhere nationally. I'd just love to see us finally win a Beanpot. Though beating BC for the Beanpot wouldn't be complete....it needs to be done vs BU. I hate those douches. I witnessed NU losing to BU in the beanpot final twice in my 5 years at NU.

Edit: 'They' as in NU

Agreed. As far as BC is concerned, they are going to make the national tournament and will get one of the top 4 seeds in the HEA tournament so winning the regular season crown doesn't mean all that much (they would get the last line change at the Garden I guess). I would trade a win tonight for two losses on the weekend in a heartbeat. I hope they can get an early lead because I expect a pretty good Northeastern crowd tonight, which will give the team a huge boost if they're tied or winning as the game progresses.

BC won a 7-6 thriller in the Beanpot final but Northeastern gave them a hell of a game. BU lost the consolation game to Harvard to finish 4th for the first time in 31 years.

Looked like a crazy game. Wasnt expectng NU to actually be in it.

Something Interesting from USCHO is taht a poster has been gathering info and created some formula to make a greatest programs of all time thread through statistics. They are posting the team and rankings, but will show the formula when completed. Just interesting to look through if nothing else

I'm interested to see where he puts Cornell on that list. Ken Dryden alone probably bumps us into the top 20.

Looking through his rankings, it is heavy on winning percentage i think and wins in the tourney/championships.

Your big Red is not having a good season this year. I'll gloat since my tigers came into the Lynah and took one from you guys.

That could be really interesting, depending upon the formula. I am curious to see 4-9, in particular. I would be happy to see BC crack the top 5.

That's what I mean by Ken Dryden. He carried the Big Red on his back to win the 1967 NCAA championship. And he was also partially responsible for ECAC tournament wins and NCAA appearances in every year he was at Cornell.

Even without that, Cornell has a good claim for being pretty high up there historically. The 1970 team was the only one before or since in NCAA history to go a perfect 29-0-0 for a season. And there have been other NCAA tournament appearances.

Hmm, I was close. He put us at #13. I'll take it.

UNH at 20.

I'll take RIT at #34. Pretty amazing since they are the newest addition to the NCAA DI. They had a ton of success at DII/DIII but that was not calculated in. Last years run and AHA titles had great influence.

Speaking of RIT, They play Niagara tonight on CBS CSTV Directv-613, Dish-152 at 7:30et . Tickets have been sold out at the Ritter, and just like at the Lynah faithful(for you Saugus) The RIT Corner Crew can be vicious. And they will be heard in the small barn.

Post on how it was all determined

This should be okay to post...Mods?

It's interesting to look at since a lot of the programs may have fallen on hard times now. teams like LSSU were dominant in the early 90's. Now are a shell of themselves.

Tourney time.
RIT beats up on AIC as expected in first game of best of 3.
Tigers will not have to go through Robert Morris or mushers since they both lost in play in round. All the lower seeds eom last week in AHA.

Cornell's first round series against Quinnipiac is now tied after Cornell lost 1-0 last night. Deciding game is tonight, I really hope they win.

American International should really not be a D1 program. My god they are awful.

UNH sweeps Vermont and moves on to the semis.
