Silver usually caters to the players so him defending the owners is weird. That said I wouldn't object to a work stoppage.

The Warriors basically spent way over the cap with exceptions. That shouldn't be allowed.

Hard cap it all and maybe talent will stop f***ing colluding to play together.
But that has what has made NBA so popular. While at the cost of parity those super teams draw a lot of media and fan attention.

With the new media deals negotiations coming up Silver is probably going to rush this CBA as much as he can

I actually don't watch the NBA much anymore due to these so called super teams. The players talk a lot about owners colluding but this is really no different when they talk on vacation a year or so before hitting free agency about how they can both or all 3 go to same team and how salary would work among them.

Doesn't he work for the owners like the the other commissioners? His job is to be the mouthpiece for them and takes the brunt of the bad press.

nope, the NBA isn't the NFL/NHL/MLB.... Name the last time a labor dispute shortened an NBA Season or wiped it out entirely like what occurred in 2004

What's your excuse?
6-year mutual opt out.

A league able to sign a CBA without a lockout? Is such a thing legal?

Anyways, really looking forward to the mid-season tournament. Interested to see how they incentivize the players to care.

The nba needs to figure out how to get players to play in the games and limit all of these load management issues.

Any other massive issues that they need to deal with?

Their max term contracts of like 4/5 years works for both sides since the amounts are massive, nearly $50 mill per.
