Needless to say, I was shocked when I read the boxscore and saw those names. Not the greatest tilt in the world, although it looked like at least one good punch landed.

I've never seen a top prospect fight in a rookie tournament game. Why would their teams want them to? They bring in the thugs to do that sort of thing.

Not a barn burner at all, but Kadri did get tagged pretty good with that right.

Only Leaf fans could find a reason to complain about seeing two non-fighting young guys get heated and go at it. These types of fights are one of the great things about hockey.

This. Funny to see people saying Kadri got killed in this fight. One big shot landed, which didn't knock him out, didn't buckle him, and was basically your typical good connection punch that we see 100 times in NHL fights, then they hugged some more and the refs broke it up. I'll give the edge to Shirokov for the punch, but it really wasn't much of a fight.

Shirokov may be 5'9 but he's 25 compared to Kadri's 19.
