District of Champions
The Bears could have had Patrick Mahommes or Lamar Jackson Deshaun Watson but took Mitch Trubisky instead... and they traded two thirds and a fourth to move up one spot to get him. That decision likely will cost them a shot at the Super Bowl. Their defense and ST are championship caliber but man is Trubisky terrible.

Edit: thanks @Silky mitts for the correction.

Would have never thought Jackson would be the leader he has become in such a short time.

He has been far from perfect but man does he exude confidence in his abilities. Complete opposite of the vanilla player Flacco was.
I remember this when he was drafted, thought it boded well for leadership when that's how his teammate reacted

They passed on Mahomes and Watson that year, even worse though.

Losing three at home and then two on the road with Strasburg in Game 6 and wight walker Scherzer in Game 7 to be honest I though they were dead going into 6. As Capitals fans we know game 7s are a crap shoot but man pretty amazing. Got work distracted for game 7 but turned on the radio stream and found they were up 4 with two outs left in the bottom of the ninth.

If we are going to go back that far how about we throw the Senators in the mix and call it even...? ;)

Big difference is Caps were only horrible from 1974 inception > 1981, then have been a near-perennial playoff team minus a few early-mid 2000's seasons
Wasn't the '91 SB their last W in the playoffs other than a couple of wild card games
28 years. Any Skins fan under 35 basically has no memory of NFL Playoff success

Sure but it didn't take 50, 43, 17 and 14 years to win their first championship. They had 2 in their first 10. ;)
Bragging about NFL Championship trophies from when Franklin Roosevelt was president. That totally paints the franchise as being worthy of being described as Champions.
