Mad Max can put St. Louis in the hurt locker tomorrow. Would be pretty sweet going up 2-0 with 3 straight in DC. As it stands, St. Louis has to win 4 of their next 6 to win the series, and 4 of those games will be against Scherzer and Strasburg.

It wasn't long ago that people were ready to drive Davey out of town for his pitching decisions. He's been pretty spot on this playoffs.

Doolittle finally returning to form now that he's healthy will be a big boost, I think. If Doolittle and Hudson can get you 4-6 outs at the end and their starter can get them 5-6 innings -- which is not unrealistic given the caliber of starting pitching they have -- the Nats will minimize their biggest weakness which is of course their bullpen.
