Waived: Nathan Gerbe

Gerbe needs another year in the AHL, he suffered a serious back injury and could use some time to get his game back. That said I would welcome him in Abbotsford with open arms, would even sign him for 2 years and invite him to rookkie camp so he can try and mentor Gaudreau a bit.

Don't think he fills a need. I've always liked the guy, but there just isn't room for him beyond being an asset down in Abbotsford. I doubt he would sign without the promise of NHL ice time.

I really like Gerbe, having said that he is another LW. We don't have much of a spot for him.

I love Gerbe as a player but he's too small. We're trying to get bigger and faster, and Gerbe only helps us accomplish one of those things.
