HFNHL Preds
After not being satisfied with their last GM coming from a traditional hockey country, the owners of the Nashville Predators found their replacement in a more or less exotic hockey country that has started making noise lately through goaltender Reinhard Divis, forward Christoph Brandner and more recently with defenseman Thomas Pöck and future Allstar forward Thomas Vanek. Right, the new GM is Austrian and his name is Tony Kapfenberger. His goal is to continue the success his young countrymen have on the ice on the management level of HFNHL.

Kapfenberger's former responsibilities included the building of BOFHL, a league based on NHL stats. He still is GM and Co-Comish there. He is also known for his solid prospect-knowledge and his determination, qualities that will only help the Nashville franchise.

When asked about his plans with the Preds, he stated that there is no hurry to make drastic changes to the lineup, but his long-term goal is to make the Preds a younger, faster and defensively responsible team. That is probably good news for prospects like Lauri Tukonen, Kari Lehtonen or Braydon Coburn while stars Mats Sundin or Curtis Joseph might see their stint with the Preds coming to an end. While this is pure speculation, Kapfenberger was never afraid to pull the trigger on trades that helped his team, even if it meant sending a big name packing.

"I'm looking forward doing business with the other GMs in HFNHL" Kapfenberger said "It will take some time to get to know all those guys, but I'm sure we can benefit from each other".
