As @Esq mentioned, there's already a pro team in the SEATAC area with that name, the Pacific Coast League Tacoma Rainiers, a Triple-A minor league baseball team affiliated with the Mariners.

Whalers? No. See Hartford.
Totems? No. Stay away from any native American themes.
Kraken? No. Has no relation to Seattle in mythology.
Sea Lions? Yes. Marketing.
Sockeye? No. Sea Lions = better marketing (they're cuter).

Therefore, Sea Lions it is and will be. Order your jerseys now.
