You can use historic players if you want. My team has 5 good defenders, 3 guys that can handle the ball and score, and 2 unselfish big men.

C David Robinson
PF Anthony Davis
SF Scottie Pippen
SG Dwayne Wade
PG Gary Payton

I kicked Jordan and Russell out for Wade and Olujawon so I don't have any top 10s.

Kind of a weird team, I know. I wanted to build around Jordan and James, so I have already had elite ballhandling, penetration and outside defence. I picked Curry, even though I think he's generally overrated, to be the primary three point shooter. Russell is a good fit for the team in that he provides elite defence and rebounding but doesn't need to touch the ball on offence. Sabonis is also a strange pick, but I wanted a big guy who could shoot from outside. I considered Nowitzki but I think that Sabonis was a better rebounder and defender. I'm sure that I could make a better team with more thought but this one quickly came to mind.

SG - Michael Jordan
PF - Shawn Kemp
SF - Wilkins

Duncan is absolutely top 10 all time.

The argument isn't whether or not Duncan is top 10, but whether there's justification for having Duncan in the top 10, but not Olajuwon

Duncan may have the slightly better resume, but as I said above, that doesn't mean he was a better player than Olajuwon
