Announced his retirement.

I completely forgot he played for Toronto.

Do you remember if he was any good? Was he put in a top 6 role?

IIRC he rode shotgun with Kessel during his time in Toronto. I don't remember him being anything special. That was during the time of our Kulemin-Grabovski-MacArthur 2nd line being hyped up as one of the best in the league.

Doug Brindley...all three games. Roommate of Spinner Spencer brought up to keep him out of trouble.

Was on the first line.

Even centered the top line for 2 games when we had injuries.

Rough times.

And I'll go with Olli Jokinen. Lol yea, that actually happened.

Mathieu Schneider; I thought he was excellent when here
Bob Rouse was another
Came here to post this. My favorite Dman. Also Sylvan Lefebvre. #3 and #2.

That D core was underrated. Ellet was the closest that we had to a true top pairing guy, but the supporting cast was very solid.

Eric Lindros

I was not a Leafs fan prior to Lindros.

As a teenager I liked "players". Gretz, Yzerman, and Lindros were my favourite. As such I watched the Oilers/Kings, Flyers, and Red Wings (had all of those jersey's as a teen).

When the Big E joined the Leafs, I finally gave them a chance (cause really, why before that)? Been a fan ever since. I still remember cheering for Gretzky and the Kings beating the Leafs.....

The 80's truly were a dark time for the boys in blue. Tough to be a fan of that team as an impressionable kid.

Kris Versteeg just had a good run in the Battle of the Blades. I think 2nd place.
