The separate European and North American world championships haven't evolved into Neutral Best-of-Best Tournaments, so could we transform the 4th rate competition of Euro Hockey Tour into a True Global Title every Sept?
The North American group includes half of the Deutschland Cup nations. Alternatively, SWE, FIN or CZE cross the Atlantic as well, i.e. should RUS take the carrot in ending the war. Everybody involved needs moving the Cold War back into hockey rinks. Once reformed, the nation deserves a permanent spot in the Old Continent group as a Big 3 member.
The 3 Finals between the 2 round-robin winners are to be played in Arabia, Britain or the Far East, not Toronto. With the MLS surpassing in Americans' popularity, the NHL can awake into using its strengths. In time, there will hopefully be a FIFA Champions League allowing the esteemed clubs from outside of Europe to chase a Super Trophy. I wonder if our Northern sport plays for Utmost Awards by then.
