Holy hell, not only do we get back Pickard and Dano for Fleury, we also lose Pouliot in the expansion draft? Holy hell, I'd cry tears of happiness if that happened.

Not a chance.

McPhee has also already intimated that they want to spread the picks out over years. Lets say they came away with this many picks, thats potentially 5 guys minimum who all have their ELC's come up in a very short amount of time, obviously not all of them would be in the league right away nor would all likely be hits, but its just not feasible economically for them to do this.

I do think there will be wheeling and dealing and its pretty much a certainty that they're going to pick up picks from teams like the Isles and probably Minnesota or Anaheim, but you're going to see picks acquired in 18 and 19 just the same. They won't all be 17 selections.

You're also not going to see 6 defenseman from the 2nd onward either unless the talent available just fell that way. No one drafts like that on purpose.

Overall, I thought the list and moves were a great read and not outrageous. The ANA move makes sense with the explanation you provided. Nice job.

How dare you take Weal?

Also, and more serious, for the Flyers, I very much doubt Hextall would pay an earlyish 2nd and Robert Hagg for Mrazek. He's an asset miser and I believe he'd go UFA rather than offer this up if LV dug in their heels.

Can definitely tell OP is a Leafs fan just based off the fact that he thinks LV would trade Dumba and Gunnarsson for Kapanen, Rychel and 17. That would most likely be outbid or Vegas would just keep their defensemen.

If Vegas trades for MAF instead of drafting him, they are absolutely not taking Pouliot. It would be Hagelin or Rust I would have to guess.

Tampa will beat that Toronto offer for Dumba. 14th + Killorn + Matthew Spencer or Dennis Yan.

He might be the most valuable thing for them to take front he habs at this point as they can flip him as a rental, maybe habs send like a 4th or something

Vermette brought back a 1st and a prospect

VGK can easily flip plek for a package st the deadline
