Not the greatest of lists I've seen, Smid,Wolski and especially Bergfors should be MUCH higher then where they are. You have Weber a bit to high and your underating guys like O'Sullivan,Schremp and Pouliot.

I tried my best! Also, I am a BIG goaltenders fan, so probably all of them are ranked too high! No Semin or Schremp fan, but they have too much potential to put hem out of thel ist.

Didn't put hours into it, so please don't argue that N.35 should be M.33 lol. But if a top-10 guys shouldn't be on thatl ist, feel free to flame!

Never said it was correct. Its an opinion. Pogge is no sloutch. Would I have ranked him 14, maybe not, but that doesn't make it ridiculous or to high. He is an elite goaltending prospect, and the Leafs only elite prospect. Overall I thought the list was pretty solid, although I would have liked to have seen 06 guys in there, but I'm not going to complain, he made a list, I did not.

:biglaugh: Too bad I'm sure others dont really share that sentiment because your Kostitsyn or however you spell hasnt really lived up to his expectation.

the guy's a project, was before he was drafted and still his, still has more potential then 80% of the players on this list, he's Habs property so he sucks, we know the drill...

He sure has potential but how likely do you think it is that he reaches it?

I tried my best to follow the guidelines established below, but admit, a couple of these guys may have graduated....A few guys (Getzlaf, Perry, Ward) I thought would have 'graduated' but are still considered prospects:

HockeysFuture: What Makes a Prospect? said:
A player will be considered a prospect until he meets the following criteria:

1. If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club.

JD -- Good list.

Bourdon, M. Staal, Weber, and Bergfors look a little low to me. Other than that it appears to be a very solid list.

Thanks JP....that was hard....So many guys to rank.
There are probably a few guys who look "low", but it's moreso because there are 40 guys considered as top 20 prospects....Lots of talent on that list, and outside of the top 5 or so, many of these guys could be interchanged positionally.

... speaking of which ... Does anyone here feel like starting a "fans top 50 prospects" series of polls? We did one two years ago (can't recall one last year), and it was some fun ... especially when we got to compare to the "official" HF list. I'd start it, but I'm lazy.

He has good chance in my opinion. I dont think you saw him play last year with the Habs, but he looked like a threat at some occasion. I think he will be the kind of player that will be better when he will have good team mates.
