Here are my top 10 RW prospects after the draft. What are yours?
I will tabulate all the lists and provide our top 10. 10 points for #1 and 1 point for #10.

1 Hronek
2 Zadina
3 Rasmussen
4 Veleno
5 Berggren
6 Cholowski
7Hicketts
8 Svechnikov
9 Sulak
10 Saarijarvi

I love our Filips, they share the Czech spelling of my own name, but in what world is Hronek over Zadina?

As for me:

4. Veleno
5. Berggren

7. McIsaac
8. Svechnikov

Any of you penciling Zadina into the Wings roster next season or do you expect management to be slow at developing like they were with Larkin and Mantha?

Larkin wasn't exactly developed slowly. Drafted at 15 so he certainly wasn't making the league in his draft year, but did so in draft +1.

And I'd argue that Detroit probably hasn't had an 18 year old at Zadina's level since Primeau.

Worth noting that Zadina is much older in his draft class vs what Larkin was. Larkin made his NHL debut at 19 years & 2 months, and if Zadina makes the team his debut will be at 18 years & 10 months.

So I'm not sure if Zadina is considerably better than Larkin at the same age after all taking into account Larkin's huge D+1 year.

what difference one draft can make on how nice a farm can look.

i must admit - Holland, Wright and Co did a much better job with their HW this year. Much better.

When a player like Regula or Gio Smith might barely be your 15th best prospect, that's solid.

They call me Fil for short. Lol.
I know he is 2 years older but Hronek was equally as dominant against men in the 2nd best league ion the world. He's highly skilled, fast, intelligent, very competitive, fearless and combative and despite his size and age would hold his own in battles along the boards and in front of the net against bigger, older players and more often than not, he come out on top or getting the puck to a teammate. He scored 8 goals and 18 assists in 37 games (prorated to 18 goals and 40 assists in 82) and his ice-time was compromised by them going with 7 d-men in many of those games. It took the first half of the season for him to establish himself as the team's top defender going from 7/8D to 1/2 D leapfrogging all of the others one at a time after getting scratched for 8 of the first dozen or so games. He seems durable as he hasn't suffered any injuries in his 2 years in NA despite his slight size and combative nature. From everything I have seen and read and heard from his coaches he seems to be a hard working character player and leader. He was the captain of Czech WJC team.
I would say that just an many top 5 picks never end up being impact players as do.

I rate prospects in these votes not just on skill.
But also on NHL readiness. So yes I value promising players that are older (more NHL ready) higher.
Here is my list:

1) Michael Rasmussen
2) Filip Hronek
3) Filip Zadina
4) Denis Cholowski
5) Joe Hicketts
6) Evgeny Svechnikov
7) Joe Veleno
8) Gustav Lindstrom
9) Larsson
10) Dominic Turgeon

Too young: Berggren / McIssac
I expect to fully Bust: Ville Saarijarvi

gaps indicate tiers

1: Zadina

2: Rasmussen
3: Hronek
4: Cholowski
5: Veleno

6: Berggren
7: Svechnikov

8: Lindstrom
9: Pope
10: Larsson

couple notes on the defenseman prospects: my ranking is influenced a bit by my lack of trust in the organization to properly develop them,I fully expect one of Hronek/Cholowski to bust and Hronek is a bit more developed at this point so I ranked him ahead even though I think if they both turned out Cholowski would probably end up better

Saarijarvi I would have in my top 10 but I honestly fully expect him to bust due to botched development

Veleno could shoot up to 2nd on my list pretty easily next season but I need to see more from him first

Couldn't be more spot on. I have zero faith in this org. right now in their development of the defense. Actually quite worried, TBH. I dont see any D prospect being a LEGIT top 2.
