Matthew Highmore from the Dartmouth Subways should be on this list, played for Dartmouth as a 14 year old last year and looked good...but he hurt his shoulder last year and missed some good time, and this year he hurt his other shoulder with the same injury and is out for a bit, so right now I dropped him to my 2nd round to see how he handels the injury when he comes back.

Why does Hynes play in Toronto but qualify for the QMJHL draft?

I guess the same question could go for Maxime Chevalier.

Maxime Chevalier comes from Quebec City.

Liam Hynes comes from Newfoundland. His brother Brandon plays for the Victoriaville Tigres.

Wow, can't say I've seen a goalie that high in a while. Especially with the two '95s out of Quebec.

Two questions whenever you have the time, Scoutman. What's happening with the two '95 goalies that played for Quebec last year at the Canada Games? And how does this Bouchard goalie compare to Fleury or other highly touted goalies of the past?

Thanks a ton, always appreciate your posts and rankings.

Alexandre Bélanger was drafted by Rouyn-Noranda in the Q. He is playing for Magog in Midget AAA.

Philippe Desrosiers was drafted by Rimouski. He is playing for CAG in Midget AAA.

Both of them are splitting ice time with their team's other goalie. Not sure it's the best thing for their development.

Alex Gallant from Charlottetown has played better than Kielly thus far in Major Midget, and Zach Moody didn't impress me at the ACC this weekend. Duncan MacIntyre wasn't even in the top 5 defenceman this weekend in my eyes too.

wow Moody and MacIntyre were making all scouts and agents drool, not sure what you saw????? Gallanet is an amazing talent but do not be fooled with flash and dash, Gallent has to learn to pass the puck, and without the puck he needs to work on defensive play and positioning, I will saw Gallant is impressive his skating, puck handling and shooting are top notch BUT he has A LOT of fine tunning to do....Keilly is a different player than Gallant, Keilly is not flash and dash, he does everything right, responsible on the ice, he is about looking for gaps opened by his teammates and using his teammates but the players on his line were not moving well into open ice, causing the other team to collapse on a guy who is use to controlling the play, where as Gallant is flash and dash not giving the other team time to set up like Kielly would...but watch beyond the flash to see what else has to be ranked....I have to ask though what was it you did not like with Moody and MacIntyre...because to ALL the scouts they were both GREAT in the whole ACC.

What you guys think about Samuel Castonguay, I will be a second drafted pick this year. Good skating, hands, hard worker.

He will...**

Alex Gallant impressed me much more then Keilly at the ACC but they are both great talents. I have a friend who follows the league quite closely and said Gallant has been impressive thus far this season and thinks he is very underrated and will move into a top round pick if he can keep up his play all season. He has great size for his age as well topping 6 feet and 170lbs..He has better linemates in major midget then he did at ACC apparently and is known for his playmaking ability, winning this award in Bantam AAA while leading the league in assists..

Thanks a ton, I'm assuming they're both planning on going NCAA? And as in they're splitting time in AAA? That can't be right.

I don't think so. They just had two goalies before them in their respective QMJHL teams. I know it can't be right for their development.

Philippe Desrosiers was chosen in the 2nd round (#29) and his team's other goalie Philippe Cadorette was also chosen in the 2nd round (#20).

Alexandre Bélanger was chosen in the 1st round (#18) ans his team's other goalie Alexandre Michaud was chosen in the 2nd round (#30).

You see why they're splitting time in AAA...

Only two recently drafted goaltenders made the Q this year: 16 yo Zachary Fucale (1st round by Halifax) and 17 yo François Brassard (6th round by Quebec).

I think by the end of the season Gallant will be a 1sy rounder...likely mid-first.

Also I wouldnt call Gallant a playmaker...he is a top end individual talent...he rushes the puck and skates well with it and rarely passes...I dont know if thats because he didnt trust his linemates at the ACC or because he didnt see them...either way he is dynamic offensively...from an individual standpoint.

I have been following the boards and biting my tongue long enough. I enjoy reading the intelligent posts/replies from most but this 9601 has hit a nerve. I thought only the Toronto parents pimped their kids :sarcasm:

Mr. 9601 has been doing this style of pimping for years on the Classment POC forums under many pseudonyms. It is getting really long in the tooth and will not help the kid.

Many players were omitted from the U16 camp (42 invites) a few surprises (Ratelle, Greer, Richard to name a few). The U16 team that will be selected will have players that weren't at camp but are excelling at the AAA level. I am sure that there will be a couple of surprises in the line up.

Keep up the great work LaLaLaprise, BLBarmada, Scoutman1.

He probably knows him outside of the internet like I'm sure many of us do.

This and he's mentioned it before that he's worked for a junior team. I don't know him personally but I have an idea of who he is.

Im not going to say who I think he his either because it would be a dick thing to do, wrong and I appreciate what he does.
