Mustelidae is the family of weasel-like carnivores. These include honey badgers, american badgers, otters, martens, and wolverines! They are amongst the most playful, fearless, toughest, and strongest pound-for-pound mammals. I recommend Marty Stouffer's Wild America, with the episode on wolverine country. It's on Youtube.

I had a few over the yeas in the form of ferrets! Most Mustelidae are crazy ass, fearless little buggers!

Wolverines are not afraid to take on bears and Honey Badgers are not afraid to take on Lions, etc. Heck the endangered black footed ferret hunts mainly prairie dogs which are often significantly bigger than they are!

This thread should be turned into a Poll ... "What is your favorite Mustelidae?" I'd cast the first vote for the Sea Otter, because they are just so darn cute.

They seemed very energetic when I saw them circa 1990 between Vancouver Island and the mainland. They seemed to be freely playing, even though I saw killer whales around the same seascape on that same vacation! The bravery of mustelidae might be unparalleled.

That was BEFORE the slew of observations in the early 2000s of orcs hunting & devouring huge numbers of otters from Oregon to Alaska. Survival of the hungriest.

That narrator sounds like Dr. Steve Brule (comedy guy).

Did you like ferrets when you had them as pets? They looked adorable when I saw them at the pet store. There were like 20 of them in one small dog carrier. They all wanted to say hello at once and were crawling all over each other.

That is ZeFrank who is pretty popular for his "Educational" comedy animal videos. This is a new character he has started on his channel called Creepy Dave who is a vulture

I loved having them, fun little buggers you have to have time to either take them out of the cage and play or a room for them to play along in. If you don't have time I'd get 2 so they can play together.

I had a couple of ferrets for a while. Great pets in terms of being cute and smart and entertaining. Not so much in terms of making your house smell like the bottom of an old litterbox, or finding unimaginably dangerous and inaccessible places to explore.

So true, though the smell can be minimized by not over washing them. The smell comes from the oil they secrete and the more you wash them the more their bodies will produce to the point of it becoming a losing battle.
