Any self-respecting Van Halen fan should check out their last album "A Different Kind Of Truth" if they haven't already done so. It is fantastic!

Amen. I believe almost all those songs were sitting on the shelf for 25-30 years- and they blew the dust off them when DLR came back this last time. Consequently, the album has a real “classic VH”-vibe (and Wolfie holds his own IMHO). ADKOT is a Top 5 VH album for me...

Favorite parts of those videos:

ACDC
Bon Scott chewing gum like he dgaf.
The drop in after the bridge hits like a truck

Radio Birdman
The handoff of the mic at 2:41
Deniz Tek leaving the guitar on the amp to feedback at the end

Saints
Ed Kuepper beating the shit out of his guitar starting at around 2:18
Chris Bailey thumbing his nose at 4:56

All of them
The audience not knowing wtf they're seeing

Aussie music in here... Wow!
Off topic, are either Vai or Satriani Islanders fans?
Both LI natives seemingly...

Nice haul Richie. I've never been a big Tull fan, but a friend bought me a copy of This Was for my birthday and I started warming up to them a bit. I know it's almost a completely different band between that album and Aqualung, but it served as a foot in the door at least.

Nice to see BOC, Flesh Eaters, New Bomb Turks, and Blue Cheer on your list.

Tull is one of those bands that has a lot of great stuff scattered throughout their discography, but you really have to work at it to get it. I think everything before Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll is worth owning, but between Benefit through War Child is the peak.

I've been looking for a good copy of Secret Treaties for a while. Same with that Stranglers LP.

The Symbol Remains? One of the best new albums in 2020, IMHO.

Chick Corea died. I was really into Return to Forever back in HS.

I think he may have lived on LI back in the 80s - not 100% sure of that though.

I'm not usually a fan of remixed/remastered albums or cds, but the Steve Wilson remix of Aqualong is worth getting in my opinion.

I've heard great things about Wilson's remixes. But like you, I also don't care for remixes. Remasters are a different animal, but there's a lot of factors that go into it in order to grab my attention.

Big Country, The Crossing, bought the old vinyl version when it came out. Great album, underrated group. Angle Park on a later EP was my favourite tune of theirs. RIP Stuart.

Any huge fans of Metal Machine Music that are clamoring for more of those type of melodic sounds? Specifically, 65 hours more?

I present to you 65 Hours Of Nihilism by Wirephobia. You're welcome.
