That's gotta sting the ol' self confidence......knowing you were used to "sweeten the deal" to get your team a sturdy 4th round pick.

I mean, it's not quite getting traded for $1, but it's still a fairly low valuation.

That's a hilariously low price. Now watch them find some all-star at the end of the 4th round.

Thompson agreed to lift his NTC (why the hell did he had one?) to come to Montréal, while Dwight King was absolutely disgusted at the idea of leaving LA for Montréal. That alone make me believe we shouldnt compare the two. King still had some talent, he was just completely uninterested.

Remembering when Bergevin went out and grabbed Ott and King. I think Bergevin has done a good job so far this season. I don't even mind bringing back Weise. Schlemko wasn't working but he needs to stop dumpster diving lol. Did Montreal need a 4C that badly?

Yes.

It was kind of expected that Thompson was worth nearly nothing, did LA really wanted to spend 700K$ (1.65M$ full) left on his contract for a player like him at the position they are in?

Pretty good bargain for the Habs if Thompson works out. They don't usually make these kinds of deals.

(that was sarcasm by the way)

The difference between a mid 4th and a high 5th is essentially nothing.

At least that Future Considerations guy didn't get moved like he always does at the deadline. Kid can never find a groove...
