Wouldn't they bring up Lindgren first?
pretty much what is happening in Montreal and with the Media.I hope they don't bring up Primeau. He will let in three goals or more in two games and fans will start bashing him and say he's a bust like Kotkaniemi.
that would be a terrible move in my opinionprobably, but Primeau is the future.... they may want to see what hes got.
Hard to accept Kinkaid went down hill over a few months. Have to think he is still a valuable backup goalie on the right team.
Only 1.75 as well. If they were willing to retain 750k (they have tons of cap space) the Leafs would gladly throw a mid round pick back and a goalies contract (Hutch most likely which evens out the money).
I dont even think the leafs have the cap space to even make a claimWelcome to Toronto either via claim or after he clears

I would be SHOCKED if he is not somehow a Leaf by Wednesday, if he's not Kyle Dubas isn't trying
Then make a trade if he clears bottom line Hutch can't be allowed to play for the Leafs ever again
Not that easy, and not much of an upgrade.
You would need MTL to retain, which I doubt they do for cheap since they can just bury him for far less against their cap, and then even at 875k he's not worth all that much. So you would likely need to overpay for a guy who hasn't been great for almost 2 years now and is definitely no guarantee to be better than Hutch has been for us thus far.
So if I am Dubas, I'm not paying more than Hutch and a conditional late round pick in return based on # of games Kinkaid plays. Which I can understand is probably not worth it for MTL to deal Kinkaid with 50% retention.
