Could a deal be made around Patches and Kesler?
no thanks from an habs perspective. i would much rather trade pacioretty for a younger not yet proven with potential.
No from ducks pov kesler is mandatory in our window
anaheim got kesler so they can have center depth to compete with other teams in the west
Nope, Kesler is good but not the #1 center the Habs need as he is already 32, has an almost $7M cap hit and is he not starting the year injured?
Value aside, doesn't Kesler only want to play in the US?
Anaheim acquired Kesler to play a specific role and still very much need him for that. This deal doesn't work for either side.
Anaheim needs Kessler. Perfect shut down C, can't see them entertaining this.
I also assume MTL wants to go with someone younger.
Yeah Montreal won't be doing this, don't think Anaheim would either
Why would Kelser even want to think about going to Montreal? He has it made in Anaheim. Not a happening.
I like these proposals that both fan bases hate.
Don't think either team does it, but Anaheim definitely says no
Neither team does this.
MTL wouldn't trade their captain who's potted 30+ goals in the last 5 seasons, whereas ANA won't deal their 2C who has been playing some of the best hockey in his career to date.
A big no from both teams.
Anaheim needs to hold onto Kesler right now.
This makes zero sense for both clubs.
No chance Anahiem would touch that. Their center depth is a big part of their success. Not many teams are going to move a good center for a winger.
I'm pretty sure that it was already widely known, That Kesler only wanted to play in the US at the time he was dealt from Vancouver to Anaheim pretty sure it was made known that he didn't have any desire to play in Canada any more.
