OT: Moving to Western Canada

Looking to move out West. Trying to narrow down where to live. Any recommendations based on living expenses, job opportunities, and night life? I have worked in the automotive sector, retail, office administration, and in a restaurant. looking to make some decent coin. Any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated. Western Canada is a big place, eh.

In Calgary, you will make decent coin doing many of those jobs you've listed. Problem is, cost of living is also pretty high.

You must also dump your Maple Leaf allegiance at the Alberta/Saskatchewan border.

By automotive sector, do you mean manufacturing, or mechanics?

Depends what you are willing to deal with, working on the Rigs up north will make you a lot of coin as will working construction in Calgary or Vancouver.

If you are looking to do any of the jobs you have listed you will likely be able to make a bit more in a big city like Calgary but, the living cost will be disproportionately higher.

If you're planning on living in a big city especially Calgary or Vancouver I would advise you to have a long-term plan as living here can be quite expensive.
