United are in 4th, 3 points behind City, and 7 behind Arsenal. United have been hit with injuries, and are in a pretty good place.

Not really sure why people are hard on LVG as they are. Dude should be pissed.

Plato posted a tweet, they have 7 total shots on goal these last 4 home games. He is outdated. The longer United keep him the chances of them getting top 4 diminish. Their injuries are mainly defensively, and with the amount of money they spent on attacking players his results arent good enough. Id like them to keep him though.

Moyes had 1 point less at this stage, and with significantly less time and significantly less money. And Moyes got them out of their Champion League group. Injuries aren't an excuse.

I'd actually defend LVG if there was any positives from how United were performing, but there simply aren't. They have a good defensive record, but that's coming from a style of play that is offering next to no attacking play. As soon as they start to open up more offensively, their defensive structure comes apart.

Letting the failures at Chelsea and City cloud the waters on the decisions United should make is a perfect way to get stuck in mediocrity. An ambitious clubs viewpoint should be made on where they believe they should be and whether the manager is capable of taking them there, and that's a longer term decision.
