Who is the next most valuable Oiler?

Consider age, contract, injury history, positional value, leadership, potential, etc... Ignore team need. One way of thinking of it would be: in a trade to a neutral team, who would bring the greatest return?

I value what Gryba brings to this team of marshmallows. He is a neccessity for this team definitely.

So it is very funny when some posters are slotting him in as a 7th defenceman when you need him against more physical teams like the whole western conference, nevermind the Pacific division.

Its trade value, not value to the team. Gryba will definitely be a good player for us, but he was just dealt for a 4th. We know exactly what his value is.

Korpikoski then Letestu imo

he did a decent job filling mark methot's shoes while he was out last season. that's a top pairing defenseman in the eastern conference...

It was a Ewanyk + a 4th but for the Sens to trade him meant he became expendable with their depth on defence so of course his tag was not pricey. His contract is great and he is 27 years old not 22 or 34. Eric Gryba is right in his prime today. His value will shoot up playing in the west definitely.

imo Purcell is the best player on this list but I can't vote for him because his big cap hit makes him hard to trade.
