Kuch.

The other guys could be as valuable, if they had as good of seasons as Kucherov did, but he DID have that season.

Marner, age, skill, heart, two way play

(very tough not to take Kucherov obviously)

Extremely small sample size and all but I'd lean towards Marner for his play in the playoffs and age.

the list of young or regular forwards are really good.

the question is who can embolden the said org..... i say all of them have the ability to do just that. but what else can we look for, for that final selection ??

Kucherov is the only acceptable answer. Marner makes 0 sense whatsoever. It doesn't mean that if you're a fan of his you're not allowed to prefer him on your team - but in terms of "value as an asset" it's Kucherov 100% and easily so.

Marner is good in the playoffs - Kucherov in his first 3 playoffs was much better (more games, better track record)
Kucherov just had a historic season that genuinely brings into question if he's on McDavid's level (or above?). Marner - while great - is simply not at that level and quite a ways back.

Kucherov is only 25. I don't normally like looking at $$ (i pick the best player regardless of salary) - but I expect Marner's salary is going to be higher than Kucherov's.

Kucherov is a no brainer.

Marner may be #2 though.

Marner

We KNOW he will do it year in year out. If Kuch does it again what he did this year then maybe him

Is this how they are now or as prospects?

Either way it's still tough. Wanna homer marner but super hard to go against kucherov

lol?

Marner point totals 59, 68 and 93. What's the outlier? Last season. Is that the new norm for him, or just a lucky year? TBD

Kucherov. Last 3 years. 85 points (in 74 games - paces out to 97), 100 and 128. even if he regresses to his lowest pace he's ahead of Marner's best.

This must be the most ridiculous post i've ever seen.

all of those point totals are wrong, but it's not an outlier. it's called player growth, and you can see it each year. There's no reason to expect him to have peaked as a rookie
