We did the most overrated, where the leafs got shit on unfortunately.
But what is your 3 picks for the most underrated teams and the teams that everyone should pay attention to?

If one of them is your team tell us why! Prospects we don’t pay attention to enough? Players that are a dark horse?

Keep the thread classy

Cheers!

As a side note don’t have sharks in the poll since I can’t see anyone underrating them and odds have them pretty high at a cup run and there can only be 30 selections

Picked Arizona, Chicago, and Ottawa.

All 3 are pretty low rated teams, at the moment. And I think you have to be generally low rated to be considered "underrated".

Arizona is a great team, on paper. Great goalie, great top 4 D, strong C depth, and some good young wingers. The team should fight for a playoff spot.

Chicago had a disaster season last year. But the core is still what it was when they were contenders. A few bounceback seasons (and Toews is doing that so far) will go a long way. Healthy Crawford makes them a playoff threat.

Ottawa is pretty tough to be positive about. But they have done well in the early goings. They have some star power in Duchene and Stone. Some rookies could make for a surprisingly competitive team.

I almost picked Chicago. The Flyers are another team I considered.

Interesting. I watched and read most of the preseason predicts and the Caps are picked for nothing by nobody. Its not offending. Most of the same didn't have the Caps coming out of the first round last playoffs, but still. They seem to have earned no respect at all.

Bruins, Stars, Flames for me. The former I've seen many people act like they won't be battling for top of the division, which they definitely will. The later two I think are both playoff teams this year that people are sleeping on.

Cool, cool. Hurricanes/Devils were on my radar as well. But the Canes are actually getting noticed for once, and the Devils got a lot of attention because of Hall and the playoff appearance. But both are good options.

Well one fanbase acts like that.
That fanbase provided all evidence in the overrated thread.
The network which actually owns the Leafs that everyone claims is biased picked the Leafs to win nothing.

Just because they don't think the Leafs will win the Cup after not having won a playoff series yet doesn't mean they aren't biased.

Most teams don't jump from zero playoff series wins to Cup favourite.

It does not matter if they have not won a playoff series. It is not a need to win a cup.
Ironically, majority here consider them the media cup favourite.

Well, if you don't think they're capable, that's fair.

Maybe another season or two.

They will have to win a playoff series to win a Cup though. 4 of them in fact. In a row.

There's a difference between cheering for them and picking them to win.

You mean cheering for them like multiple articles about how all their young players are leaving next year?
