You keep replying to me though. I never started the conversation with you.

So they weren't all gambling odds as you originally claimed? So...you were wrong? Fun

You really should be like Elsa and let it go. Clearly you're obsessed with me and it isn't healthy for you.

This really seems like you're protecting your feelings and sensitivities onto me. Sorry pal, you may need a hug.

I need a hug, but those ketchup steak fingers? Don't want those paws on me.

A lot of back pedalling going on here by a number of members of a certain fanbase here who have been been making over the top predictions this off season and voting Leafs in every poll.
Nonetheless you can’t paint everyone with the same brush and there are a large portion of Leafs fans who have been much more reasonable. It’s that over the top minority who give them a bad rep.
I voted Leafs mainly because of the hype from media sources picking them as the Cup favourites. I think they’re going to be really good but this is mostly catering by the predominantly Toronto media to hockey’s biggest market.

I think we're still waiting for those to be posted?

For anyone saying the Leafs - I'd like you to post a link to even ONE single pre-season prediction of the Leafs even finishing first in their division, let alone winning the Cup.
Lol! Maybe someone hijacked your account.
I found this in a 30 second search:

Maple Leafs seen by opposing players as top contender for Stanley Cup

so you guys agree or disagree”

Zeke:
‘I mean, how can anyone disagree

They were contenders last year, even without Tavares.’

Wow. Okay if that's the case, then absolutely.

I just had no idea anyone was picking the Blues to win the Cup.

If he didn't vote for us, I'd be hurt. He's our biggest fan.

If you guys think Vegas is overrating the Leafs, well, that's a prime opportunity to go make yourself a whole lotta money.

Go for it.

So NHL players overate the Leafs? I'm confused. How is that a suitable example for cries of the "Toronto Media" picking the Leafs to win the cup?

If the Leafs win a poll:

Leaf fans: well, of course we won the poll. Player 'x' or line 'x' is easily the best in the NHL and are generational.

If the Leafs lose a poll:

Leaf fans: the only reason we lost is all the anti-Leaf bias on this site. Every single Leaf is still better than your best player.

Lol:laugh::laugh:

Poor Leafs fans. Always victims.

They've been posted. You just seem to pick and choose what links count so that they fit your argument. Here's another media person picking the Leafs

Bowen: 'Maple Leafs will win Stanley Cup this season' - Sportsnet.ca

Oh even more Leafs Stanley Cup talk.

https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/maple-leafs-instant-stanley-cup-contenders-tavares/

You aren't reading or actually clicking on a lot of this stuff, while trying to call me out.

This is actually amazing.

the team's radio(not even TV!) play by play guy is now some kind of objective national media analyst, apparently, who is overhyping the team. okay. this is like asking what Jack Edwards thinks of Boston this year and then claiming the media overhypes them. it's that stupid.

now, moving on to your second link, which if actually if you bothered to watch it the Sportsnet guys go on to reach the exact opposite conclusion you thought from a glance at the Google results.

anything else? this is starting to bore me.

Not a single sportsnet insider picked Washington or Pittsburgh? The teams that have won the last 3 cups, losing only to each other...
