I somewhat agree.

Smid/Petry have been pretty bad this year... But no one is saying that they are playing well.

Over

- Smid(decent, not great)
- Hemsky
- RNH(good player, but people are going overboard with the 100+ point potential expectations)
- Horcoff(his ability to play defense is grossly overrated)

Under

- Gagner
- Hall
- Petrell
- Dubnyk

Overrated: Oscar Klefbom

Has potential but a lot of people have him penciled in our lineup automatically for next year.

Yeah, that one bugs me too.

He will have missed close to a year of hockey, and is coming over from a league that requires a decent amount of time to adjust from(Hedman, Larson, Paajarvi/Lander are all recent examples). But he's just going to step in on an already young and mistake-prone defense and contribute positively?

It's kind of nuts.

Replacing someone who isn't very good at playing NHL level hockey, with someone who doesn't know how to play hockey at that level at all and just missed a year of development?

It's a downgrade.

Yeah. Like you said hes coming off an injury, and who knows how he will adjust to the North American game.

Hes also played 67 games in the SEL...over the last 3 years. That's not very much hockey. How will he adjust to playing 82 games.

Hes probably going to follow similarly to David Rundbland for playing time in the NHL once he comes over, but probably even less NHL time at the start.

Overrated: Teemu Hartikainen (we just like him because he's a big body and that's something we don't have)

Underrated: Nick Schultz (probably our best defensive defenceman)

Overrated Hemsly
Underated Horcoff

Why horcoff is hated more then Hemsky confuses me

Horcoff does the little things better then Hemsky

While Hemsky does big things better than Horcoff. Like making offensive plays...
