I thought he was supposed to go to Switzerland, no?

From what I remember, he signed with a Swiss team but had a clause that if an NHL team signed him within a week he was out of the signing. Then play for which ever poor NHL team that got duped into signing him..oh wait...that was us.

Table time: a few PK stats for our forwards who had more than 10 mins on the PK this season:

Player|TOI(mins)|CF%|CF% rel|Sv%|Sv% rel
Antoine Vermette|180.0|10.8%|+1.8%|88.3%|+3.4%|
David Moss|169.8|9.4%|-0.6%|87.1%|+0.5%|
Jeff Halpern|136.3|7.1%|-3.9%|83.6%|-4.6%|
Lauri Korpikoski|128.5|13.4%|+5.5%|86.8%|-0.8%|
Martin Hanzal|78.8|9.9%|-0.3%|83.3%|-5.2%|
Radim Vrbata|33.0|7.1%|-3.0%|93.5%|+7.6%|
Jordan Szwarz|27.6|11.1%|+1.7%|85.0%|-1.8%|
Mikkel Boedker|20.0|9.4%|-0.4%|93.8%|+7.5%|
Rob Klinkhammer|17.1|10.7%|+1.2%|80.0%|-6.3%
Brandon McMillan|16.1|6.7%|-0.7%|85.7%|+2.4%|
Mike Ribeiro|12.5|5.9%|-4.0%|88.9%|+2.5%|
Martin Erat|11.0|10.5%|+2.9%|88.9%|+4.0%|

TL;DR - Moss was absolutely not an integral part of our (bottom 10) PK - Vermette was. The PK would not have missed a beat if Moss were no longer a Coyote - we have more than enough forwards who can pick up the slack (Erat, Boedker, McMillan, Szwarz)
Interesting stuff here I remember arguing with another poster about Moss's pk ability (or lack thereof) and how often he was used. I only had this year's pk stats to reference, this is another example of how unnecessary that signing was though.
