I didn't know, thanks for posting!

Personally, I think it's a vast improvement. The only thing the old marquee had going for it was that it had been around for a long time.

New design looks cool, but my nostalgia is strong enough that I'm sad about the change.
Hell, I’m old enough to remember original Penn Station. Enough about nostalgia, build something beautiful and freshen the space. The area around The Garden as it is now constituted never qualified as beautiful.

And you want to be sad about something? How about the 100 story building being proposed across the street on the Hotel Pennsylvania site. Ugh!

If it looks anything like what they've been building around there, I suppose it's not a bad thing.

The new train stations are very nice.

All good things must come to an end at some point. How long was the video board a part of the marquee? Was that always there or was it added during the 1989-1990 renovation?
