This is what this thread is all about. Not only have I never seen this photo before, I forgot (or perhaps never even knew) that Bouchard was in the mix for this tournament.

Bouchard in fact played a total of 90 minutes in two intra squad games and one pre tournament game (vs USA). He only gave up one goal and had the best stats of the four Canadian goalies (Resch, Vachon and Cheevers).

Carlton Street and Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto.

I think this is looking west on Carlton Street, with the Yonge Street intersection near the far left of the photo. That's Church Street between the streetcar and the arena. Just behind the camera would be Mutual Street, on which the Leafs previous arena was located, a couple kms to the south.

I've always loved flash photography, especially when it comes to hockey pics (and even more so with old-timey ones). Very nice.

Lined up for a team photograph when hockey was a game in Salmon Arm’s arena around 1914. Percy Ruth (fourth from right) stands next to Matt Carroll. The player on the far left is believed to be Charlie Turner.

This beautiful photo of Tim Thomas with a CCM helmet and a cage was on Helsingin Sanomat in a article telling about the terrible stuff Thomas has been going through. Here he's stopping former L.A. King Peter Ahola scoring in the finals of 98-99 Finnish Liiga.

TPS got the championship that season beating the reigning champions HIFK. 97-98 HIFK was one of the best teams in Finnish Liiga history. They had young Thomas in net and guys like Rafalski, Timonen, Olli Jokinen, Jarkko Ruutu and Christian Ruuttu on the roster that year.

The fun thing about most of the really old pics is it makes it look like they played with no lights on, HEHEHE!
A combination of some legitimately bad lighting (I've heard that before television, watching hockey in a lot of arenas looked like it was lit with a bunch of flashlights), and the effects of flash photography (which I think is cool).
