Lafleur had to wear a helmet in the tournament. They had been mandatory in the World Championships since 1970.
Believe Don Cherry was the coach. That was not a particularly good time for Guy, as he had had that automobile accident not long before and then that idiot took that cheap shot at him. Along with that, Guy hated being made to wear the helmet while they were over there.

I hear you. I haven't seen that book, but generally I would say that most people have seen some of these photos before. I think the photos from the Summit Series may be the most widely spread ones in the sport. The quality is pretty good on most of them, so I thought it was worth posting.

I believe that many of the 2000+ photos that I've posted are fairly good, both estethically and quality wise, but having said that, the Summit Series photos are widely spread, that's for sure. :wg:
