To be honest, I'm surprised no team has ever been able to do that over the NHL history. 2 seconds is very fast, but you'd think a team would have done that before.

Doug Gilmour scored 2 seconds after a goal from centre ice, did he not?
you're not wrong
The NHL record for fastest two goals is two seconds, by St. Louis and the Boston Bruins on Dec. 19, 1987, at 19:50 and 19:52 of the third period. Ken Linseman scored for the Bruins and Doug Gilmour for the Blues.
Blues, Maple Leafs score two goals in five seconds
That one is still two goals by both teams. Tonight was two goals by one teamWhere did you find that? I searched online and most sites said 3 was the fastest before today.

The kid will be good, and if he's top-5 in a re-draft in 5 years, I'll be satisfied.
