Game-winner and the empty-netter were scored 2 seconds apart, a new NHL record!
That's awesome lol
To be honest, I'm surprised no team has ever been able to do that over the NHL history. 2 seconds is very fast, but you'd think a team would have done that before.
Lmao I don't think that'll ever be beat. Maybe 1.5 seconds.
I'm not surprised tbh
2 seconds is extremely fast
It was crazy to see that in real time.
3 seconds has been done 3 separate times, so teams have gotten really close before.
The previous record was from 1935, thats nuts.
Doug Gilmour, with St Louis, once scored 2 seconds after a goal from centre ice.
you're not wrong
The NHL record for fastest two goals is two seconds, by St. Louis and the Boston Bruins on Dec. 19, 1987, at 19:50 and 19:52 of the third period. Ken Linseman scored for the Bruins and Doug Gilmour for the Blues.
Blues, Maple Leafs score two goals in five seconds
Now who's going to do it in one second?
Of all the teams in the history of the game...
I can't find the vid on twitter, but it was about as fast as possible, it was a hard win on the draw and immediate hard shot in the net
I distinctly remember the Jets scoring 2 goals on the Oilers in 2 seconds back in the mid '90s. I believe Deron Quint scored the second. I may have to look through some game logs if I get bored and can find them.
Where did you find that? I searched online and most sites said 3 was the fastest before today.
That one is still two goals by both teams. Tonight was two goals by one team
Oh okay, didn't catch that.
The Habs are the GOAT...greatest of all teams!
The kid will be good, and if he's top-5 in a re-draft in 5 years, I'll be satisfied.
I searched Amnesiac's words on google"Doug Gilmour scored 2 seconds after a goal"
Most teams don't pull their goalie immediately after being scored on and the faceoff being at centre ice. That's a huge gamble that a) you're going to win the faceoff and b) that the other team won't get a clean shot off after the faceoff.
Armia or Domi?
Separate names with a comma.
