Montreal is small and slow

After watching just the 1st period against TB who not only lost Stamkos and played Boston yesterday, I noticed that we are not only a small team but we are slow alsur ppl sucks to,another game where the opposing goaltender is going to out goal Price.It might look bad because we don't seem to have any system except for chasing after the puck and wait for Price to stop it hopefully and head up ice.

Nah, they're not.

Plekanec Pacioretty Gionta all fast. (Gio may be slowing down a bit but he is not slow)
Eller and Gallagher are quick.
Bournival is pretty damn fast.


Aside from Subban our defense is slow, i'll give you that.

What they lack is creativity and drive to get better shots.

mmmm. I disagree wholeheartedly. We are definitely not a slow team. Eller, Gallagher, Gionta, Plekanec, Subban, Bournival, Pacioretty are all top tier players when it comes to speed. Additionally, Bourque (when he hustles), Galchenyuk, Briere, Diaz, Gorges, Emelin, Bouillon (despite all the hate, he is a good skater), Prust, White, Moen are, although not particularly fast, not to be considered slow.

The only slow players are Murray, Parros, Markov (is not slow but just does not have the same agility as before and his one-two steps are pretty bad).

You can't hate on Price, and don't ****ing say he's getting out-played tonight. Price keeps the boat afloat on tough nights. He made key saves tonight.

People who think we are a fast team have no idea what the rest of the league is all about. Watch other teams please and you'll really think that you've watch the Habs on slow-mo....Yes, we have fast players. But rest of the league do to....and they are not only fast....but they think the game faster, make way more plays at high speed etc. It's one thing to be fast from A to B...you need to be able to play hockey in the process.

Management mainly. Tho even media and fans call Mtl a small speedy skilled team which aside from small, they really lack skill and legit speedsters. Not that mtl is necessarily slow, they have good skaters just not better than other team whose Fwds are bigger
