The fowards squad will need to score more goals. Gilbert and Emelin are great fits for our defensive top 4.

7 goals against in 3 games is what, around 2 per? Seems decent enough.

Oh, the title actually had nothing to do with the subject? My mistake.

Yeah goals, we need em. :dunno:

7 goals is not bad at all. It's 2.3 per game. The scary part is they only scored 3 and 1 in shootout.

But they were getting good looks last night the goals will come soon enough.

I think his point is that we only allowed 7 goals and we didn't manage to win all the games. 2.3GAA is pretty good, but like therrien says we need to score 3 goals to have a chance to win a game.

I'm really missing the days when our PP was feared and deadly. The fact we have the talent and tools for an effective powerplay and still can't score is shocking.

Guys it was quite simple our PP was all we had if you can recall.
Played those minutes with much more desperation...

Not quite shocking when you watch the games. Eller should get PP time, no one moves, no creativity allowed by the coaches it's obvious.... Parenteau is afraid to shoot.

I don't have on MT as a whole, but someone in the coaching staff has to take the
PP under their responsability and remains the whole thing. I love PK but he can't be the only one to shoot, that's way way too predictable

Our power play started sucking about the time DD became a main stay on it.

what do you expect.. the guy running the PP is an ex Goon... Could u see in the near future George Parros coaching the PP for an NHL Team..

Its pretty simple.. we do the same damn thing on every PP.. no creativity... players aren't skating... we are static... we need to move the players around and not depend on Subban's blast from the point.... Maybe start Pleky and Chucky on the first unit would also help IMO!

I think we need Bouillon back :sarcasm:

The OP sees this as a positive. I see this abbreviated road trip in Western Canada as more beneficial to the Habs' competitors than to the Habs: 8-2-1 isn't as good as 7-1-0. The Bruins. Lightning, and Leafs gained on them while the Habs blew the opportunity to sweep their road trip. It's a young man's game but the Habs played as though they need the sports equivalent of drugs like Viagra to keep their blood flowing.

The Leafs can gain, let them, they will collapse toward the end of the season as usual. Boston is not going to finish ahead of us this year, mark my word. The only team we should be afraid of is TB.

Both Detroit and Ottawa can compete with good goaltending...

If DD started becoming a mainstay on the PP at the beginning of December last season and getting top the minutes for Habs centers you might be on to something. The Habs PP was very good the first 2 months of last season but went in the tank starting around Dec 1st last year and it still hasn't recovered.
