I think Crosby can.

If you consider his next contract will be 8+ million at the age of 20 and then think that for the next 15 years he will earn 8+, thats atleast 120 million (15*8).

One thing to consider though: Is the list above with taxes or without?

In light of the Vanek offer sheet, Fedorov's deal was brought up again and I found this crazy nugget.

"And if the Red Wings were to match, Fedorov might be in position to take home $28 million by July 1 -- only $500,000 less than Detroit's entire payroll this season."

Has any player ever gotten that close to matching the rest of his teammates in pay (even if for only one season)? What about Wayne or Mario back in the day?
