Jones **** the bed? Yes, he was bad sometimes and he certainly needs to be more consistent shot to shot but he carried that team to the playoffs and was great in them. Him and Deslauriers were the two best players come the end of the year.

Didn't improve his numbers in a year where he was the clear starter. Mannino played better than him early in the year and that was when the talent in the AHL was better due to the lockout. Either way he got the starts down the stretch because that's what the Kings management wanted and that's why he played a ridiculous amount of games. He was better down the stretch which is important but they were still disappointed in his play this season.

Either way, this season is a make or break season for Jones, at least in the Kings organization.

Berube will get #1 minutes in Ontario. He wouldn't get that in Manchester playing behind Jones.

Berube will once again be splitting time with a Winnipeg prospect in Ontario (this time NCAA standout Juho Olkinuora). Last two years Winnipeg prospect goalie Chris Carrozzi was in Ontario after they needed a place to stash him. Now Winnipeg has signed an affiliation agreement with Ontario and Olkinuora will be down there.

Berube is on the last year of his ELC. If he does not take the step into AHL this year, he is pretty much done as a prospect for the LA Kings. Goalies who spend 3 years in ECHL in an organization are not going anywhere. ECHL is a good place to get playing time moving into the pro game, but getting stuck there is not a good sign.
