With the Habs showing signs of improvement after a disappoininting start to the season, Molson says he's still confident that general manager Marc Bergevin can keep improving the club.


"Right now, we've got some room in the cap and you never know what he might do (or) might not do," he told TSN's Gino Reda. "He certainly does have the license to improve the team - that's his job - and I support him fully."

That will make 2 out of the last 3 years with no playoffs...How is this acceptable for a team that had such a promising future in 2012? Many teams started with far less in 2012 and are now looking to be dominant for years to come. Winnipeg/Toronto/NJ are a few teams that come to mind...

I'm not even a Habs fan, just a sympathetic Leafs fan that wants them to be good so we can have a good rivalry again.

Bergevin and Molson are ruining the franchise and team, they have ZERO chance of going anywhere this year and Bergevin has proven to be a total clown with the totality of his awful moves.

Both need to be gone, but especially Bergevin, then they can trade Weber, Patches and Price for whatever they can get and work with the solid pieces they have there (Mete, Gallagher, Galchy and Drouin).

Have fun keeping him at 10 million, if this team rebuilds after this year, they might contend in 4+ years, Price is 34 by that point and will likely have nearly 800 games of mileage. If it takes any longer, add more years, so do you really expect a 35+ old Price to be a team leading goalie?
