- 11 GMs

- draft 22 players (2 goaltenders, 7 defensemen, 13 forwards)

- Players available being drafted between 1984 and 2003, with everyone can draft only one player per draft (so you can't have Forsberg and Lindros in a same team for example)

- no matter of the order, you can draft any player in the first round, but I mark the available draft years for everyone

- Additionally every GM drafts two players who have signed as a free agent

- Players are drafted by their total career, so you can draft players already retired.

- Players drafted twice can be drafted only in the latter one

- Team name can't be any of the current NHL, AHL, OHL, QMJHL or WHL teams or former NHL team (no restriction about the cities though)

- draft order in rounds 1-11-2-10-3-9-4-8-5-7-6

- if questions, ask here or PM me

- PM the next GM!

- Time limit is 12 hours

sounds like fun, i'm in if you like

greetings. I am the GM of the Hamilton Steelheads MHL franchise. As a new team in this league, we will attempt to draft speed, skill and depth.

On a serious note, I would be interested in joining this draft. It will require skill and extreme knowledge. If you want me, the Steelheads are in

I'd like to give it a try. I will be the Los Angeles Kings(I know it's unoriginal).

Not possible under the rules:

- Team name can't be any of the current NHL, AHL, OHL, QMJHL or WHL teams or former NHL team (no restriction about the cities though)

But I counted you in.

question about rosters

we are each drafting one player from each draft year...and thats it

there is no rule about being active is there? just draft your team, right.

I know it is a stupid question, but sometimes they have to be asked

Yes, according to the PM I got when I asked the same question, we are drafting them from in their prime, especially since there aren't too many 1984 guys still playing.

oh why not, this would be my 5th draft, but everyone i'm in moves slow as mollases, so i'm not exactly over extended. Give me the only successful team currently associated with my favoriet franchise: Hartford Wolfpack.

I join also myself, as Indianapolis Brickyarders.

11 GMs is now in, I make a draft order lottery very soon and then it's available at the opening message.

Draft lottery done:
Hamilton Steelheads won #1 pick.

1st overall selection in the draft

From the 1984 NHL draft, the Hamilton Steelheads are proud to select, with the first overall selection of the draft:

Mario Lemieux of the Pittsburgh Penguins
