Bully B vs Leon, main event March 13th. Not a huge fight but a good one.

Colby a puss. Make him fight Gilbert

Obviously a weak main event, but I'm glad they were able to get a fight for Edwards. Tough fight for him but I do think his striking might be a little too quick for Belal.

Good on both of them for taking the fight. Edwards badly needs to fight after all of the time he has missed.

Ariel and Chael are 100% correct about the WW division. Some of these guys at the top are just squatting on their rankings and won't accept fights. That includes Edwards too because for the longest time he also kept turning down fights until he realized he has no other choice. If Edwards wins this fight then he should get the next title shot.

The Masvidal Usman rematch (if official) is a disgrace. The guy is 1-3 against the current WW top 10, with that lone win coming nearly 8 years ago. Masvidal's most recent wins? Askren was simply terrible and not UFC calibre at all. Till has dropped 3 of 4, arguably didn't deserve to win any of his last 5 so that win holds little weight now. Diaz is gatekeeper level. Just horrible, I can't believe anyone actually wants to see that fight.

I get the popularity thing but I'll probably pass on that fight if it happens, embarrassing level of disrespect to the actual contenders in that division. Used to be a Masvidal fan but he turned into one of the biggest sellouts the sport has ever seen. I get that he wants to milk fame for all its worth but man, sickening to see the state of things now at welterweight.

It's not ideal, but it's the same spot as 155 where you have a top guy (Usman/Poirier) then a long list of guys who don't deserve a title shot yet. Guys in both divisions just need to line up a fight vs another contender so that they put themselves up next with a win...but they won't until they know who is getting the next shot. It seems like the UFC has decided that nobody has earned it so lets just have the top guy fight the guy who will make everyone the most money. Probably not the fair way to do it but I also don't think anyone is really being passed over either.

I mean he f***ed up Till pretty good, I get that Darren is not a current WW top 10 but he had just come off a WW Title fight. There are fighters who for sure deserve it more but two things-

1) thats never mattered
2) I think Dana is willing to reward Jorge for stepping up and saving that ppv

Also Kamaru wants a money fight and I’m sure Dana isn’t complaining about giving him one

I wouldn’t have picked Masvidal but I get why the UFC did

He also got absolutely worked by Wonderboy and lost to Maia. Till aside (who has turned out to be not all that great), Masvidal hasn't beaten anybody even close to title contention.

Edit-Oh I'm definitely not surprised that it's being made, just egregiously bad in terms of who is deserving imo. More so than usual.

It should be Edwards-Wonderboy coming up with the winner getting Usman. Colby-Masvidal do TUF with the winner of their fight getting the next shot. Muhammad is a good fighter, but it's kind of a cheap win to get a title shot from. I hope he can pull the upset and f*** up Edwards' plan.

That makes tons of sense. I'd go with that.

Edwards deserves to be criticized for how he handled things previously but he has been trying to fight anyone he can now. Neither Masvidal nor Covington would take the fight. He was willing to fight either Chiesa or Magny on short notice but the UFC refused and kept the Chimaev fight together. Wonderboy and Chiesa are both injured right now. A win over Muhammad normally shouldn't get you a title shot but Edwards is still ranked #3 and the fighters above him and the one directly below him have already lost to Usman. Ideally he should still fight Covington/Wonderboy if he beats Muhammad and but I wouldn't hate it if he gets the next title shot.

Rafael Alves just missed weight by 12 pounds. Incredible.

Ketlen Vieira, Drako Rodriguez, and Jared Gordon have also missed so far

Randy Brown and Raoni Barcelos are both off saturdays card

Gavin Tucker replacing Ryan Hall against Dan Ige. Quality fight

also in a fight I’m really excited for- Alexander Romanov vs Juan Espino (from the looks of Romanov’s IG story)

-Cutelaba vs Devin Clark

-Alex Perez vs Matt Schnell

-Danyelle Wolf vs Felicia Spencer. Wolf is a good boxer. Kinda pretty. Spencer will be a tough test but if she gets through Spencer (and probably another person) they could have the most marketable B-side to Nunes at 145 in awhile

MMA veteran Travis Fulton indicted on child pornography charges

Yiiiiiiiiiikes

May have a new leading contender for worst man in MMA?

Just watched him on UFC 20 a few weeks ago. Haven't read the details on the charges but can't imagine they're good. The guy isn't just an MMA veteran, he's more veteran than anyone else.

We know these type of guys don't do well in prison, but he would certainly make for some interesting fights defending himself at least.

The only thing I have to say is Jorge took the last fight on like a week's notice. I'd like to see him compete with a full camp.
