His team lost 5-3 to Liverpool, but if you're a fan of the USMNT, you have to love what Christian Pulisic has done for Chelsea since the restart. Brilliant 30 minute cameo appearance this afternoon.

The USMNT isn't going to fail to qualify for another World Cup in our lifetimes.
Well, they're going to 48 teams, so yeah, we'd have to either have a really, really dysfunctional qualification cycle or be disqualified due to scandal.

Something that gets left out of the legend of the USMNT qualifying in 1990 with the shot heard round the world is that it happened because Mexico got disqualified for using overage players in a U-20 tournament in 1988. The US got the 2nd of two CONCACAF slots by finishing 2nd in the group to Costa Rica and probably don't qualify if Mexico was able to participate.

There is no excuse. Especially when you have talent coming through that is in f***ing Barcelona’s system!
It's not even the kids who are in the system like a Konrad de la Fuente, who as you pointed out, is doing very well with Barcelona B.

It's more the young kids who are already playing and doing well in Europe. Sergino Dest is a 19-year old right back for Ajax. He's already cracked their first team, and if you believe the reports, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, PSG, and Juventus all want to sign him this summer. Look at Gio Reyna getting starts for Borussia Dortmund at age 17. A host of Premier League teams - including Liverpool and Chelsea - are apparently tracking 21-year old Weston McKennie, a midfielder/defender for Schalke.

They shouldn't have missed in 2018. Whenever World Cup Qualifying starts back up, I think the US Men will be on a mission to prove the naysayers wrong. They'll automatically qualify for 2026, and by that time, the World Cup field will have expanded to 48 teams.

They'll never miss another World Cup.

Llanez, Ledezma, Booth, Sanogo, Hernandez-Foster and on and on. Pretty solid job getting the youth players in the right developmental programs overseas.

All I know is if Michael f***ing Bradley so much as sniffs a national team roster ever again I’m out
