I can't see baseball playing much past (early) November. So many ballparks are outside and you've got snow and other weather that could disrupt play.

Paywall. First, you'd have to ensure all players, officials were fully healthy. And all the field workers. AND bus drivers, hotel workers, etc., that come in contact. How much would that take from other medical needs?

Would teams revenue share broadcast monies? Would players have to take more of a cut?

But it would provide distraction.

So, they might play in Arizona - specifically around the Phoenix area. Through the summer. When high temps average well over 100 (and are still nearly 100 into September) and low temps average over 80 in July and August. 85-90% sunshine. Virtually no shade.

What could possibly go wrong?

Given that the US-Canada border restrictions for non-essential travel has been expanded another 30 days, I'm thinking maybe restart by mid-June at the earliest.

The real question: Does MLB have a plan for playing amid continued coronavirus risk?

As many plans to resume baseball are bandied about, the plan MLB actually needs will be the one for playing while the country continues to deal with the corona...

Coronavirus: Dr. Anthony Fauci says he wants baseball back 'for the country's mental health'

Fauci is a Nationals fan, and used the team's World Series championship as an anology for the United States' coronavirus battle.

At least one mover/shaker behind their return.

Dr. Anthony Fauci says some leagues might have to skip season due to coronavirus pandemic

The NBA, NHL and MLB have all suspended their seasons. Returning to action will require widespread testing.

But Fauci not totally ruling out possible sports hiatus
