6 point weekend, nicely done for the Trout. They have been keeping tge goals down dispite playing 5 D a night it seems.

3 roadies coming up in Hamilton, Kingston and North Bay. They could take a few points during this stretch as well. Expect to see Ranger during the trip. Hopefully the Trout can keep rolling. ....

What an exciting weekend of hockey! When the fish play physically and play JR old school hockey they are difficult to beat.
Love it that two of the toughest guys on the team are 5’9”. Big #48 is really looking like a top NHL draft pick. #13 is one tough kid, he broke his jaw earlier in the season. He got another blow to his face missed a few shifts and came back with a wire mask and he propelled a critical backhand goal vs Ottawa.
The big shooters for Ottawa were kept pretty quiet and I think Ingham got into their heads a bit on the shoot out.
Hope the fish can carry the momentum for the rest of the season.

Ingham has been playing the best hockey of his career recently. He looks really comfortable in the net and very tough to beat right now

It has been fun watching him this season, has looked sharper in his movements and concentration from the start of the year. He has been the biggest reason this team is as high in the standings as they are, imo.

Sauga 960 did a interview with E Kerr, sorry about not posting a link. Interesting points about the team moving forward for the next few years, and the trades they made. Mentioned McHugh quite a bit.

Also mentioned the now running Sauga 960 station. It won't run to the top of GTA stations obviously but Mississauga now has their own station, and some Steelheads coverage, home games at least and a segment during a weekday morning at 7:30. This is encouraging to see. E Kerr has done some work to get the station going and has certainly been committed to the Steelheads.

Does anyone know the status of Callahan? I was impressed with his play as an undersized 16 year old on defense. He was actually more physical than most.

Liked him as well, still listed on the roster so I would assume a injury. Any word on Walker, he has been out a long time, wondering if his season has ended.

What could have been a bit of a ugly win turned into a ugly loss in the Hammer. Good effort, just sloppy at times.

Roadie into Kingston tonight, hopefully they look sharper as the points come in handy.

Wonder if we see Ranger tonight as the Trout face NBay this weekend up north and turn around for a home game against London.

Surprised the sprinkler system didn't go off this afternoon in North Bay as Lazer is hot. Nice come from behind win for the Trout, Ingham seemed to fight the puck early but played better as the game went on.

A point or two will be harder to come by for the Trout tomorrow against London. Knights traveling in from Erie, expecting a choppy game to end the weekend.

Good luck against London.

They got abit, 7 games now since Sauga last lost in regulation. McHugh seems to have a grudge against the Knights, would have no idea he has a jaw injury with the way he played.

Ingham looked sharper today overall. Christner doesn't dress much or get ice time but every time he out there he hits everything he can.

Sauga has given some of the top teams a go, good to see.

It is great to see the fish playing so well. They are gritty and hard on the puck. JR has them playing his system and with discipline.
Their top guys continue to produce and they are getting lights out goaltending.
Fourth spot is doable. Go Steelheads!!

The Knights have a lot of talent, I expect them to have some say before the season ends, but yes, it was a exciting game. Lots of errors and mistakes, but that is junior hockey. Frankly I thought the game against the 67's was more fundamentally sound overall, but part of the excitement of junior hockey are the hiccups that happen.

Who hasn't enjoyed Carter and Laser so far this year? Harley deserves some notice as he has reigned in his defensive issues, has his game grown. Canade now taking regular shifts on D, opening up some ice time for other forwards.

Lots to like watching this team.

Ingham finally playing up to his potential as the main reason for the hot play of late or just getting contributions from all down the lineup?

Actually Ingham has looked very good all year, going to a NHL camp really helped him, he is especially stronger between the ears.

The whole line up works hard, and Laser and Carter are having great years, and Harley has really cleaned up defensively. Ham has been a huge addition, smart when he moves the puck and hits. I give JR some credit, he got some heart players, McHugh is playing for keeps with a jaw injury, and the team is out playing more talented teams.

Well played today. Missy wanted it more and took adv of that.

Was looking kinda grim after Herbie got a couple. The Trout have been rolling well and caught a home game against London at a good time as possible. It is good to see how hard the team works and how consistent they are, very easy to like this team.

Like your optimism, but I don't see making up those points in 11 games. They are playing well to make the playoffs interesting!
