Montreal is a middling team. Price wasn’t really that good in the regular season. Allen as a backup was pretty good though. Perhaps that’s why they barely made it in.

Round 1 Price more or less stole the series for them. Round 2 they caught a favorable matchup with Winnipeg. Winnipeg has pretty much been ran over in a lot metics since game 1 of the first round. Hellebuyck stole the series in round 1. Not that he was necessarily bad in round 2 he just didn’t make up the difference for his team getting heavily outplayed again.

Beyond numbers/metrics obviously some things are too good to be true when even looking at it on the surface. The odds of them winning next round against Vegas or Colorado probably aren’t great. Let alone winning that & another round.

I think the Habs have been bumped up to 16% chance of winning cup.

Penalty on Hakanpaa is a penalty that should be a penalty, but because 'the playoffs are different' Hakanpaa probably didn't know better
