He is injured now, and is unlikely to have much value. Would be unwise to trade him while his value is low, seeing as how just about everyone thinks he passes the eye test, and he is the only true Young C of note in the organization. At worst, I think he will be a 3c when he reaches his prime. That's not great, but it's not nothing.

Maybe give him more than 3 games?
I don't see how anybody can think that?

also, if you want E Ek to succeed, it probably could happen elsewhere - not in Minnesota, he has played with everyone and not clicked at all - just trade him and perhaps get back a player that clicks/suits

No you don't trade Ek yet he's young and on a controllable contract at the moment. The knock on him at the draft was that his development curve was quite long so we should factor that in. He has one full season of NHL experience under his belt so far on the 4th line last year. Give him some time not every 20-21 year old comes in a tears it up right away.

Or even successful for a few years.
They kind of just "exist" for a while and then either go North or South

Greenway hasn't been doing much at all either

People think that Greenway is better than Kunin. He just kind of exists but people will give him slack because he is a big player. It’s like saying Coyle is better than Zucker. One made it to the NHL before the other. The one that came later is/will be the better player.

It's too bad that they never played on the same team so it would be obvious who was the better player.:sarcasm:

Neither have proven to be NHL players at the moment.
Yeah it would be great if they were both in the AHL right now but the way the league has trended you have to play your young guys before they are a finished product so to speak. In most sports if you don't get "it" in 3 full professional seasons "not minors" you probably never will, however every players development curve is different and there are late bloomers.

They did and Kunin was the better player. You must prefer “size” to “skill”, eh?

Huh? Last time they played together was 2014-15. Greenway scored 43 points in 53 games. Kunin scored 42 in 61. Maybe Kunin ends up the more rounded, but Greenway continues to put distance between them.

You guys all need to stop complaining that Greenway isn't the AHL - he's earned his spot by being good.

Hopefully “good” turns into “productive” soon.

A lot of really good NHLers weren’t too good for the minors.
