Pretty solid backup. Seems to not have it all mentally at times, but he can still be real good if he figures it out. Thought we might be looking at a drawn out process here, but he signed without arbitration this time, which is good.

Glad that is taken care of. I know Dubnyk can be a workhorse, but I just didn't like the possibility of Stalock being our back up.

Honestly surprised. Kuemper has never really liked it here - Expected him to be gone after his last contract went into arbitration. His agent must have received zero interest. Try again next year, Darcy.

I think Kuemper might feel better about the situation now, where he is the clear #2. No more Backstrom muddying the waters. Stalock is pretty clearly behind him.

I was up until the draft. There just didn't seem to be much interest. Glad we have a quality back up. After reading Russo though I see we still have to add a 2017-18 goalie contract for expansion. Should not be tough to find one before then.
