I've always liked Zucker. A little steep price for Pittsburgh but they can make these kind of moves and makes them a more dangerous team. Why not go for more?

Nice to see this return for Zucker.

Jason Zucker has tallied 29 points 14 goals 15 assists.

Tyler Toffoli has tallied 30 points 14 goals, 16 assists

I like it for both teams. Zucker has 3 years left and Pittsburgh is probably the best place you can go if you're a top 6 winger. It gives you two elite C's to try to find chemistry with. And his solid cap hit should run out the Crosby/Malkin Cup window era pretty well.

For Minny, they have a guy who has shown some promise and has upside in a new situation, a top-end prospect, and a 1st to boot.

Excellent deal for MN, but Zucker is not a rental.

Deal is really Addison, a 1st and Cap Dump for Zucker. It's not too terrible for PIT, but they're going to maximize the next 3 years with Sid/Geno.

Good for both teams imo. Pittsburgh gives up a lot but Zucker is signed a few more years and is a good player.

Won't replace Guentzel but still a very good player that should fit in nicely with the Pens

Galchenyuk is a replacement level guy who is still only hyped mostly because of draft pedigree so the 1st round pick is obviously the big piece.

Late 1st + quality dman prospect + cap dump

for

30g speedy forward with 3.5 years at 5.5mil on his deal still.

I'm happy for both sides. Wish it wasn't Addison but...that's life. I think both sides will benefit from this. Hopefully both sides will be happy.

Please go get Zucker a Cup or 3 Pittsburgh.

Not sure there’s a better guy in the NHL. He may not always have it on a nightly basis but doubt you could find someone you’d rather see win one.

Do people not understand that Galchenyuk essentially has negative value at this point? He was included in the deal purely as a money in, money out mechanism for Pittsburgh. The pick will be in the 25th-31st range, the odds of finding a good NHL player there are low. Addison is the most valuable asset of the three and he probably tops out at, what, a #4 defenseman who can quarterback a 2nd PP unit? And he won't get to that level for another three years? Not to mention Pittsburgh already has Letang and Marino on the right side for years to come. That's barely anything to give up for three years of a second line winger in his prime who is elite defensively.

Wonder if Minnesota would flip Galchenyuk?

didn’t have a good year so far with the pens. Played decent for the coyotes last year and was solid for Montreal. Still just 25.
